A Magical Elopement in Mexico

Eloping at a Private Villa on the Beach
It was supposed to be a small, private wedding that no one would know about. Celine and Claudio spontaneously decided to combine their big vacation trip with an elopement in Mexico. A few weeks before their departure, they contacted Gelena Weddings to organize their wedding in an idyllic location on the Riviera Maya. The Secret Juwel provided the ideal setting for this wedding venue, which is located about 25 km (16 miles) north of Playa del Carmen at Playa del Secreto and has a private sandy beach and a small chapel.
With a moving speech by Gelena, the ceremony took place on the beach. As the bride and groom said “I do”, the sun disappeared behind the horizon, creating a magical atmosphere with a gentle and warm sea breeze. Afterwards they celebrated their marriage with a romantic dinner and the next day the newlyweds left for their honeymoon to nearby Isla Mujeres.
In this video you can follow their intimate wedding and be inspired by how an elopement in Mexico takes place.
What is an Elopement?
An elopement is a small, intimate wedding with just the couple or a very small group of guests in a scenic or culturally rich location. Unlike traditional weddings, elopements focus on privacy, romance, and a relaxed atmosphere. Mexico has become a popular destination for elopements due to its stunning natural landscapes, historic sites, and vibrant culture.
